Home additions
More space can be added to your home by several different methods, depending on your existing home:
- Finish the basement.
- Add on a partial second floor.
- Extend the house out into the yard, usually to the rear of the house, due to setback requirements.
- A less common, but also possible for some homes is turning attic space into a room.
If you are lucky enough to have a basement, but it languishes as a dark storage space, we can turn it into a spare bedroom, exercise room, or whatever you want. There are height requirements, and egress for safety, especially if the room is used for sleeping.
It is most common to add a partial second floor over a garage, which typically provides enough square footage for a bedroom and small bath.
We have experience doing all of the above, so if you are in the market for an addition, we can help you with the permitting and building.
