Some of us get stressed out, trying to do everything we think we should be doing. Johns Hopkins medical center recommends slowing down to better enjoy the holidays. Here are some of their suggestions:
- Think about what is important to you during the holidays. Try to choose more intentionally who you want to spend time with and how you would like to spend the time.
- Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Try to make good food choices and relax to restore energy; don’t forego your exercise routine.
- Manage your expectations for family gatherings.
Don’t feel that everything needs to be “perfect”; relax, and just enjoy the season, knowing that perfection is not a requirement!
