De-clutter your kitchen

If your kitchen annoys you because of all the appliances and other items stored on the countertops, maybe it is time to remodel.

Of course, getting rid of someof those items might be in the cards, but usually the things we keep on the countertops are there because we use them. A lot. So, what to do?

Many older kitchens are improved by removing a wall, or partial removal of a wall. Opening kitchens to the living and dining areas is a popular request. It increases the light, makes the room feel larger, and allows the cook to converse with family and friends while prepping and cleaning up.

In addition, there are many options in custom built cabinets to make storage of pots and pans, large kitchen utensils and appliances a much more efficient task.

Sometimes there is a small coat closet on a wall opposite the kitchen; this can be converted to a pantry or kitchen storage.
