Coordinating kitchen walls, cabinets and backsplash
Wall space is usually minimal in a kitchen, but it is wise to select muted colors that don’t overcome the backsplash and cabinet treatment. In our pacific northwest area, cabinets are often chosen in natural wood tones, such as oak, and walnut. Perhaps it’s all the forests and nature we are surrounded with.
If cabinets are painted, it’s popular to use a light color on the uppers and darker on the lower. Some even have glass fronted doors installed on some of the cabinets; this allows the contents to be visible, and keeps them from collecting dust,
When it comes to the backsplash, textures, pattern or reflective surfaces provide a pleasant contrast to the more neutral cabinets and walls. Backsplashes can cover from 4 or 6 inches above the countertop, to the underside of the cabinets, which is usually 18 inches above the counters.
Whatever your style we love to turn your kitchen into the dream kitchen you’ve always wanted.
