Older homes often have a fireplace centered on a living room wall. What to do with the small spaces on each side? These are often not wide enough for furniture.

We have some homeowners who chose to have cabinets built to each side of the fireplace. They top off at less than standard countertop height, and there are windows above them.

They make a cozy addition to the room, adding storage space and shelves to show off favorite mementos, and books. We love to upgrade homes to make them meet your needs and expectations.
